We are dedicated to the Biblical truths of the Great Commandment and the
Great Commission.
The Great Commandment
And He said to him, "YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND. This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF. On these two commandments depend the whole law and the prophets." Matt. 22:37-40 NASB
The Great Commission
…"All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Matt. 28:18b-20 NASB |
Christ-Centered Worship: At Lake Family Church, we love to worship the Lord with everything we have. We encourage multiple forms of worship during our Sunday morning services. Our music is excellent and contemporary, but the focus is not on the musicians, rather it is on the Creator of all.
Relational Focus: The most important things in life are relationships. Our relationship with God is number one. Number two is our relationships with each other. You will find a warm welcome, a hot cup of coffee (if you like), and someone to get to know better at Lake Family Church. The activities that we offer center around great relationships.
Global Mindset: Spend a little time with us and you will see that we are passionate about spreading the good news of Jesus Christ to our neighbors in the Lake area and to our neighbors around the globe. Sometimes we even bring people from around the globe back to Missouri! If you love other cultures or if you are from another culture, you will most likely find yourself at home at Lake Family Church.
Generational Unity: From babies to senior citizens, we believe that Jesus teaches us to love them all. Children are included in our times of worship and, in some cases, even in our small groups. We promote unity among the generations because we believe that God created them to work together and that valuable gifts are passed on from generation to generation.
Listening to God: We believe that God speaks through his written Word and that He also may speak His Word into our hearts when we draw near to Him. We are always listening for the many ways He might reveal himself. Don't be surprised if He speaks something to you! That's what we're praying for.

We believe...
...the Old and New Testaments, inerrant in all their parts, as originally given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit to be the supreme and sufficient rule of faith and conduct- the Word of God with full Divine authority.
...there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
...in the diety of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious death and atonement through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, His present ministry of intercession and His personal return in power and glory.
...in the Holy Spirit by whose illumination, conviction and regeneration men are brought to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, His work of sanctification whereby the Christian is enabled to live a godly, victorious life, and His direction of worship, ministry, and administration.
...in the fall of man and the consequent sinfulness, guilt and condemnation of all men, the free and perfect justification of all who believe in our Lord Jesus Christ, and their regeneration by the power of the Holy Spirit.
...in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the final judgment of all men, the eternal perfection and blessedness of the saved and the eternal punishment of the lost.
...in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ who comprise His body, the Church, irrespective of denomination.
...the supreme mission of the Church is to glorify Jesus Christ and to be His witness to the uttermost parts of the earth.
...in the "five-fold" gifts described in Ephesians 4:11-13, which are given by God and used by His church for its edification.
